Stress is no longer a marginal topic. I increasingly encounter people with various complaints that at first glance seem very different: sleep problems, irritable bowel, tinnitus, tension, or inner restlessness, for example. Some can no longer "switch off" at all. Regulation of the nervous system plays a special role in all of this.

Many of my patients have already been to doctors. Some feel misunderstood afterward, quickly labeled psychologically, or left alone with their complaints. Yet stress symptoms are often clear warning signals from the body — long before it really "breaks down."

That is exactly why I wrote my book: “Osteopathy for Home. Nervous System”

I want to show people what happens in their nervous system when the body is under constant tension. And above all, I want to convey: You are not helplessly at the mercy of your symptoms. You can do something yourself to bring your body back toward regulation.

When the body does not disturb but speaks

For me, complaints like sleep problems, tension, or digestive issues are not just isolated symptoms. They often tell something about the condition of the entire system.

When the nervous system is out of balance for a longer period, it can manifest in many different ways. The body tries to get attention. It does not want to disturb. It wants to be heard.

In my book, I clearly explain how closely the nervous system, stress, and physical complaints are connected. It was important to me to write a book that imparts knowledge without causing fear. It should provide orientation, help better classify symptoms, and rebuild trust in your own body.

Do you want to understand why your body reacts to stress? Do you want to know what you can do yourself? Then my book “Osteopathy for Home. Nervous System” is a good starting point.

Why this topic is exactly right with me

I have been intensively studying the nervous system for years to help people with regulation.

My work uses osteopathic and physiotherapeutic techniques. Experiences from hypnosis and Ayurvedic medicine also flow in. Additionally, Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have been working daily for many years with people whose nervous systems are under constant tension.

Many exercises in my book were not created at a desk. They were developed in my practice, together with patients. I often experienced how helpful working with the nervous system is. People can receive help to alleviate various complaints and thereby support their own bodies.

That is why it was important to me: this book should not become a purely theoretical book. It should be a book full of techniques that can really be applied in everyday life.

Regulation must be practical for everyday life: regulating the nervous system

Many people know they should do more for themselves. But when everyday life is full, there is often little room for it.

That is why the exercises in my book are deliberately designed to fit flexibly into everyday life. Some exercises take only a few minutes. Others are suitable as longer sequences when complaints are more chronic and the body needs more time and regularity.

Because regulation does not work through perfection. It arises through small, recurring impulses. Through perceiving. Through understanding. Through the trust that even small steps can change something.

With my book, I want to show: calm and security are possible. Even in a stressful everyday life. A better body awareness can develop.

The role Cupping plays in my work

Cupping has a high value in my work—especially for stress-related tension, trigger points, and fascial complaints.

I like to work with methods that can quickly provide patients with noticeable relief. That is exactly what I often experience with Cupping. Through intensive blood circulation and work on the fascial system, tension and pain can often be positively influenced.

Another advantage: Cupping is excellent for home use. It can be integrated into everyday life, used after sports, or even on the go. People can learn to safely apply certain techniques themselves and thus actively do something for their well-being.

In my book, I describe, for example, an exercise with which shoulder-neck tension can be treated with Cupping within a few minutes. For many, this is an important first step to bring the body back toward regulation and relief.

Would you like to practically accompany the exercises from my book? Then BellaBambi® Cups can be a useful addition. They help with your self-application at home.

For whom I wrote this book

I recommend my book to all people who have developed stress-related complaints due to their challenging everyday life and want to actively contribute to alleviating their symptoms.

This includes young parents and also seniors. Self-employed people under performance pressure are also included. People with great responsibility as well. Athletes, chronically ill people too. Women with multiple burdens are also included.

The exercises can also be helpful for sleep disorders, inner restlessness, or other stress-associated symptoms. It was important to me that the techniques work not only for people who have a lot of time. Because especially those who need regulation the most often have the least space for it.

That’s why for me: regulation must be practical for everyday life. Otherwise, no one will do it.

Understanding the body as a partner again

An important part of my book is to perceive stress physically more consciously. Many people only realize very late how much tension their body is already under.

The body often sends signals long before more serious illnesses can develop. We just have to learn to feel these warning signs more consciously and interpret them correctly.

I want to support people in seeing their body as a partner again. Not as something that only causes problems. Nor as something that must function.

In the book, I give many practical everyday tips. They are designed to be nervous system-friendly. It’s about recharging energy batteries. This also happens through mindful nutrition. Among other things, you will learn when supportive nutrients are useful. For example, B12, magnesium, or zinc.

Small steps can change a lot

I am convinced: you can always positively change your own condition.

Not always immediately. Not always completely. And not through pressure. But through understanding, regular impulses, and a more loving view of one’s own body.

When those affected understand the connection, a new perspective arises: how closely the nervous system, stress, and complaints are linked. This understanding is what I want to convey.

I don’t just want to inform. I want to encourage.

Small, regular steps can change a lot. Even if symptoms have existed for a long time. Even if you feel completely exhausted.

Supporting Pregnancy with BellaBambi® Cups

Pregnancy means change – physically, emotionally, and often mentally as well. That’s exactly why my colleague Beate and I developed the seminar “Pregnant in Balance with BellaBambi® Cups.” Our goal was to provide midwives and professionals with a holistic concept to mindfully support pregnant women – from pregnancy through the postpartum period. The focus is on the gentle possibilities of BellaBambi® Cups: for relaxing the jaw, neck, and pelvic floor, supporting hormonal changes, and promoting body awareness and regeneration. Especially important to me is the connection between the jaw and pelvic floor – two areas that are closely linked and influence each other.

Osteopathy for Home: Why Our Nervous System Deserves More Attention

Stress often manifests in the body long before we consciously notice it. In this article, Friederike Reumann explains why she wrote her book "Osteopathy for Home. Nervous System," how osteopathic self-regulation can help in everyday life, and the role Cupping plays in stress-related tension.

Somatic Yoga x Cupping for a regulated nervous system

Get out of the thought carousel and into feeling: The combination of Somatic Yoga and Cupping can help your nervous system develop more safety, presence, and body awareness. Learn how Cups can act as a somatic anchor, why chronic stress often becomes visible in the body, and how to integrate Cupping purposefully into your yoga and mindfulness practice.

Stretching in Yoga: Cupping gets the tissue moving again

Stretching in yoga does not just mean going deeper into a pose. The real change happens in the tissue. Fascia stores tension, loses elasticity without regular movement, and thus affects how free your body feels. This is exactly where Cupping can help: The gentle suction lifts the tissue, fluid starts moving again, and tensions can release more easily. Especially in forward bends or side stretches, this often creates more ease without you having to actively apply more pressure. It is not intensity that changes the body, but the quality of the movement in the tissue.
